Book Design: First Presbyterian History

2021-09_FPC-cover.jpg

In celebration of their bicentennial, Charlotte’s First Presbyterian Church commissioned a coffee table history book, painstakingly researched and written by Lois Stickell and featuring hundreds of historical photographs.

This congregation was founded when Charlotte was just a village, and so their history is not just of a church, but of Charlotte’s center city.

It was an honor to work with such an incredible team — Lois, editor Peg Robarchek, board member Jean Cochran, the staff of First Presbyterian, and Jeff Fozard and Bill Loftin of Loftin Printing — to serve as the designer on this comprehensive and detailed project. My local-history-geek self was in heaven!

First Presbyterian presented the book to congregants at Bicentennial Celebration Sunday, Sept 12, 2021, and will host a book signing at Queens University on Thursday, September 16, at 6pm.
